The Sisters of St. Joseph Architectural Stained Glass School

Now offers a variety of professional stained glass courses and the Spirituality of the Art here at our 2500 square foot studio in Beautiful St. Augustine Florida.

We are only 15 minutes away from down town St. Augustine and 20 minutes from our beautiful Florida Beaches.

Sister Diane Couture, a world-renowned glass painter who created the Memorial window in New York in remembrance of all lost in the world Trade Center teaches this age old technique. She studied Glass painting for 3 years under the guiding hand of a German Glass painter and has been painting art Glass pieces for Churches around the World. Sister Diane also spear headed the four year degreed program in Stained Glass at Flagler College here in St. Augustine that was co-sponsored by the Stained Glass Association of America.

Our studio offers classes in

• Beginning Stained Glass:
• A class for beginners in stained glass will take place at the studio on Friday mornings for 6 consecutive weeks beginning August 6th through September 10, 2010, and another class September 17th through October 22, 2010 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM.
• We will also be holding evening classes on Wednesdays for 6 consecutive weeks beginning September 8th through October 20, 2010 from 5:30PM to 7:30PM.
• The cost for the six week course will be $150.00 plus a lab fee of $50.00 for all supplies. You will need to have your own set of tools. The complete tool kit can be purchased from our studio for $175.00.
• Leaded Stained Glass classes will be held on Friday mornings from 10:00AM to 12:00PM for 6 consecutive weeks beginning August 6th through September 10, 2010 and another class Beginning September 17th through October 22, 2010. The cost for the six week course is $150.00 plus a $75.00 lab fee. If you do not have stained glass tools you can purchase a complete kit from us for $175.00.
• Some stained glass experience is required.
• Traditional Glass painting classes will be held on Friday mornings from 10:00AM to 12:00PM for 6 consecutive weeks beginning August 6th through September 10, 2010 and another class September 17th through October 22, 2010. The cost is $175.00 plus a lab fee of $75.00.
• Your painting kit cost is $110.00.
• For all classes you MUST BE REGISTERED" a week before the classes begin with a $25.00 non-refundable deposit.

No experience necessary

Glass Painting Workshops

A three day workshop will be offered October 1st through October 3, 2010. (Friday through Sunday) in traditional glass painting.

This is a beginners and advanced course.

The cost of the workshop is $350.00 per person. This cost will include glass paints and supplies for the workshop.

Painting kits and extra supplies can be purchased at the studio.

The class is limited to 6 persons.

You must be registered a week before the class begins with a $50.00 non- refundable deposite.

 

5 Day Extensive Glass Painting

Workshop.

A 5 day Glass Painting Workshop will be offered at our studio beginning October 1st though October 5, 2010 (Friday through Tuesday) .

The cost for the 5 day workshop is $650.00.

The fee includes supplies .

Painting kits and paints can be purchased at the studio.

This class is for beginning and advanced techniques.
